Washington Elementary has an active and growing PTA. Our Washington PTA is focused on supporting parent involvement, school improvement, and student success through fundraising, parent education, and community events.

The PTA needs you in order to make Washington the best school it can be!  The PTA meets the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

See's Candy Sale -$1,500 earned!

Thanks to the hard work of our Washington families, the PTA has raised over $1,500 so far from our See's Candy Chocolate Bars ! All funds help pay for our computer lab instructor at Washington. With recent school district budget  cuts, PTA funds are needed more than ever! All our children benefit from the computer lab-so please do your part to keep this valuable resource!!

About PTA

The PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer association working on children and youth issues. In California alone, we have approximately one million PTA members.  The PTA represents every child in California schools. We work for every child, with one voice.

The purpose of the PTA is:

  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship
  • To raise the standards of home life
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education
